Dermcare Malaseb Medicated Shampoo is a veterinary-approved, topical medicated shampoo specially formulated for dogs and cats to manage a wide range of bacterial and fungal skin conditions. Its dual-action formula combines powerful antibacterial and antifungal agents with keratolytic properties to cleanse, degrease, and restore unhealthy skin.

Product Purpose & Indications

This medicated shampoo is designed to:

• Treat seborrhoeic dermatitis

• Manage skin infections caused by bacteria and yeast

• Aid in the treatment of ringworm (dermatophytosis)

• Reduce itching, scaling, flaking, and excess skin oils

• Help limit the spread of infective spores and environmental contamination

Effective against organisms commonly associated with canine and feline skin disease, including:

• Staphylococcus intermedius

• Malassezia pachydermatis

• Microsporum canis

• Microsporum gypseum

• Trichophyton mentagrophytes

Directions for Use

1. Wet the animal thoroughly with clean water.

2. Apply Malaseb Medicated Shampoo at several points and massage into the coat.

3. Use a sponge if needed to assist lathering and penetration.

4. Pay special attention to areas around the lips, under the tail, and between the toes.

5. Leave the shampoo on the animal for 10 minutes.

6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Recommended Frequency

• Use twice weekly until symptoms improve

• Then weekly, or as directed by your veterinarian

Approximate Usage

• Medium dog (30 kg, medium coat): ~50 mL per wash

• Adult cat: 7–10 mL per wash

When treating ringworm, all in-contact animals should be treated to help prevent spread.

Safety & Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes; rinse immediately with water if contact occurs

• Do not leave animals unattended during the 10-minute contact time

• Prevent licking or inhalation of shampoo foam

• Wear rubber gloves during use

• Wash hands thoroughly after application

First Aid:
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give water and contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre.

• Store below 30°C (room temperature)

• Dispose of empty container by wrapping and placing in household waste
